Senior Benefits Analyst:

The Senior Benefits Analyst will be responsible for the administration and management of assigned benefit plans. This includes ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, coordinating with vendors, promoting, and communicating benefit plans, integrating them with HRIS/IT/Payroll systems, and handling file processing, funding, and reconciliations. The administrator will also contribute to the development, management, and measurement of health management programs, including promotion, targeted communication, metrics, evaluation, and reporting.

What You'll Do:

Plan Administration

Serve as a subject matter expert for Benefits and compliance questions, HR Shared Service issues, and other related matters.

Manage relationships with benefit plan vendors, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

Promote and communicate benefit plans to employees.

Ensure seamless integration of benefit plans with Benefits Administrator, Recordkeeper, HRIS, IT, and Payroll systems.

Handle file processing, funding, and reconciliations.

Compliance

Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes related to benefit plans.

Make recommendations in response to these changes to ensure compliance.

Support the completion of Form 5500 and financial audits; PCORI filing, Medicare Part D and other H & W and Retirement plan compliance related activities.

Health Management

Contribute to the development, management, and measurement of health management programs

Promote health management initiatives

Implement targeted communication strategies to increase employee acceptance and engagement to health and wellness related programs

Track and analyze metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of health management programs

Manage program administrators responsible for implementing health management initiatives

Issue Resolution

Provide direct support to employees with raised issues as needed

Partner with vendors on root-cause and resolutions as appropriate

Identify pro-active ways to improve the process/experience for other employees in the future

Support the training, development, and education of teammates

Partner with Sr. Benefits Manager to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are clearly documented and updated as needed

Project Management

Partners with Total Rewards team, vendors, and internal partners to manage projects (i.e., open enrollment, vendor transitions, plan design changes, etc.) from conception to execution

Ensures appropriate team members are included and managed throughout the process, including any technical changes

Recommends appropriate communication strategy and partners with internal and external resources to complete

Absence Management

Responsible for absence management, disability, attendance, and time-off policies

Familiar with ADA interactive process a plus

Update policies as needed and support the facilitation of employee education

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in U.S. benefits administration, including knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements. Understanding of Canada Benefits will be added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in HRIS, IT and payroll systems (ADP & SAP a plus)
  • Knowledge of health management programs and initiatives
  • Familiarity with benchmarking and data analysis techniques
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and implement process improvements
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting
  • ACA/COBRA/ERISA/FML/HIPAA-Privacy knowledge and application is required
  • Understanding of self-insured healthcare plans and prior experience working/administering is preferred
