This position requires a detail-oriented individual with basic mechanical knowledge to perform dry and wet cleaning tasks, following established procedures and instructions. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, learn multiple tasks quickly, and use time productively to ensure jobs are done correctly. Responsibilities include proper use of chemicals, tools, and equipment, completing daily cleaning logs, and performing all assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and upkeep of production equipment and production areas in accordance with Company and regulatory agency quality and food safety standards.
  • Efficiently disassembles and assembles production equipment for proper cleaning.
  • Adheres to all GMP guidelines in the performance of the job.
  • Is aware of the chemical properties and proper use of cleaning solutions and applies knowledge in their proper use.
  • Keeps accurate cleaning records of equipment, and areas in accordance with SSOP's.
  • Keeps chemical room orderly and clean at all times.
  • Ensures that chemicals are properly labeled and stored.
  • Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Able to work various shifts and weekends, as required, Sanitation Department schedule is subject to change due to Production Demands.
