Position Overview: As the Scheduler/Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production schedule to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of products. You will collaborate closely with various departments including production, procurement, logistics, and sales to develop and maintain a comprehensive production plan that meets customer demand while maximizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain the production schedule (MPS) in alignment with sales forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
  2. Coordinate with production managers and supervisors to prioritize production activities and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets.
  3. Analyze production data, identify trends, and proactively address potential bottlenecks or issues in the production process.
  4. Work closely with procurement to ensure availability of raw materials and components to support production schedules.
  5. Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring sufficient stock availability to meet production demands.
  6. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate demand forecasts and market trends into the production planning process.
  7. Monitor and track production performance metrics such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and capacity utilization.
  8. Continuously evaluate and improve production planning processes to enhance efficiency and responsiveness to changing business needs.
  9. Communicate production schedules, priorities, and changes effectively across all relevant departments to ensure alignment and minimize disruptions.
  10. Provide regular reports and updates on production schedule adherence, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators to senior management.

Target salary range: $60k
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and motivate teams to achieve production goals.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in planning and execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
- Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., CPIM) is a plus.
