Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure, with a focus on Citrix, Microsoft 365, Proofpoint, Certificate Management, Backups and Azure services. This role involves managing various components of the infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency while supporting business operations and technological initiatives.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Design and Planning:
* Design and develop comprehensive plans for all phases and components of Citrix, Microsoft 365, Proofpoint, Certificate Management, SFTP, Backup Recovery and Azure services.
* Develop and enforce standards for operating procedures, network components, and Active Directory usage and integration

Implementation and Management:
* Implement and manage Citrix environments to optimize performance, scalability, and user experience.
* Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
* Oversee Proofpoint's email security solutions, ensuring effective email filtering, encryption, and threat detection.

Team Leadership and Supervision:
* Oversee the activities of junior and subordinate support personnel as they relate to the management and maintenance of high performance, high availability networks
* Mentor and grow the skills of junior and subordinate personnel, and appropriately delegate and oversee their work

Technology Research and Assessment:
* Research/assess available network technologies in relation to the enterprise's current and future needs
* Provide guidance to IT management on the suitability and viability of specific infrastructure components and technologies.
* Recommend/select specific products as necessary, participating/leading in tool and vendor evaluations.
* Work closely with the Security Manager to enhance procedures for security and reliability.

Certificate Management:
* Manage digital certificates across the organization, including issuance, renewal, and revocation.

Application Integration and Standardization:
* Register and manage enterprise applications in Azure Active Directory to enable single sign-on and authentication.
* Integrate applications with Azure services to enhance functionality and security.
* Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness.

SFTP Configuration and Monitoring:
* Configure and manage SFTP servers for secure file transfer within the organization.
* Monitor SFTP services for performance and availability, troubleshooting issues as needed.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:
* Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical infrastructure components.
* Conduct regular backup tests and drills to ensure data integrity and system recoverability.

Project Management:
* Define, prioritize, schedule, and monitor multiple technical infrastructure projects.
* Maintain project plans/schedules and provide regular status updates to IT management

WHAT YOU BRING TO SIRVA (Qualifications, Skills, Education or Certification Requirements, etc.)
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of five years of experience supporting an organization's IT infrastructure, with a focus on Citrix, Microsoft 365, Proofpoint, Certificate Management, Backup and Disaster Recovery, and Azure services.
* Minimum of five years supporting Windows Server environments.
* Minimum of three years of experience supporting and mentoring junior technical personnel.
* Expertise in configuring and managing Citrix virtualization solutions, including XenApp and XenDesktop.
* Proficiency in administering Proofpoint's email security solutions, including email filtering, encryption, and threat detection.
* Experience managing Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
* Knowledge of certificate management processes, including issuance, renewal, and revocation.
* Familiarity with secure file transfer protocols (SFTP) and experience configuring and managing SFTP servers.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks related to infrastructure management.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong project management skills and experience managing remote locations.
