Our new Commercial Digital team will streamline and guide how we invest in and harness technology for Commercial. This team will modernise and digitise our manual processes, addressing pain points for employees and focus on initiatives for improving customer experiences. We are recruiting for a Product Analyst to be part of our team to support the Product Manager (Customer Engagement Management) in performing gap analysis, users' requirements gathering, scoping of business opportunities, define detailed functional specifications for the developer, lead UAT / Functional testing cycles, conduct discovery / design thinking workshops with the stakeholders across varied cross-functional user groups.

As a Senior Advisor, Product Analyst the candidate will have a positive engagement style and business systems analysis and data analysis skills gained through previous experience in a digital project environment.

Ideally the candidate should have experience in the design, industrialisation, and support of multi-tier applications within a DevOps and Agile environment.

The candidate should be able to collaborate across all levels in a matrix organization and be the bridge across regional and global business and delivery teams.

Reporting to the Product Manager, Commercial Digital, you will:

  • Drive demand generation and innovation incubation through engaging with customers to understand the problems they are facing and to identify areas of improvement,
  • Build partnerships with key customer areas to using Commercial business acumen and equip Digital to respond quickly to business risks and digital opportunities,
  • Play the role of a subject matter expertise and assist Fit-Gap Analysis exercises and system evaluations to determine the right product / application roadmap for the business together with Vendor / External consultants,
  • Conduct business workshops and facilitate process and solution discussions with stakeholders across front to back business user groups,
  • Liaise with customers early in the product development process to capture business requirements as input into the digital solution design and build and align the priority of functionalities to be developed within the product accordingly,
  • Encouraging creatively in the discovery phase and leveraging processes and tools to generate wireframes, user stories, data maps, test plans, gap analysis and documentation,
  • A member of an agile delivery squad ensuring the business outcomes are realised,
  • Coach and train graduates/new members as the team grows and scales.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Computer, Science, and Information Technology or any other related field
  • At least 5 - 8 years of relevant experience, with progressive responsibilities throughout your career commensurate with the scope and size of this role
  • Expertise in working as a business/functional analyst in one or multiple IT areas
  • Strong functional acumen with a flair to understand technology basics

Skills:

  • Strong Expertise in requirements gathering and documenting functional specification for physical commodity businesses, across changes in Production & commercial platforms, SAP and Reporting systems.
  • Excellent Problem-solving ability and keen learning mindset.
  • Well Rounded and a hands-on experience one or more skills such as Power BI Desktop/Web, Python, proficiency in Excel Analysis (pivots) and good SQL skills.
  • Has experience and knowledge of the commercial systems, shipping industry, freight & marine businesses and has implemented projects / supported users for the same.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end knowledge of a Commodity business - Deep understanding of a Physical life cycle is preferred including - Risk, Commercial Operations, Logistics / Scheduling.
  • Experience with working with the Data teams and being the bridge between the Functional (Business teams) and Data Teams is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of other CRM and/or CTRM platforms is a huge bonus.
  • Self-driven, independent, and willing to put in the hours to get things delivered and have good communication skills
  • Have some understanding of AGILE delivery methodologies and underpinning frameworks (SCRUM, KANBAN, etc.) or prior use of Lean and/or Six Sigma analytical techniques
