Position Summary
The Department of Communication and Media Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a Half-time position in social media, digital writing and public relations, to begin Fall 2024. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field, or a Master's degree in another field combined with industry experience. Candidates with significant college-level teaching experience preferred.

The person hired for this position will teach courses such as COMM 200 Digital Writing, COMM 250 Introduction to Public Relations and COMM 255 Social Media. A typical load for a Half-time faculty member at North Central is two 4 credit-hour courses per semester. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and departmental service.
