Job Description

We have an opening for a Research Chemist at our state-of-the-art Research & Development facility in West Chicago, IL. We are looking forUV Liquid Development Chemistin our growing Energy Curable ink division, so we invite you to be a part of this exciting and growing team! Experience is preferred but not necessary. If you are a chemist that enjoys solving problems, working with your hands and creating solutions in a constantly growing and evolving market, this position is a great opportunity for you!

As aR&D Chemist you will be responsible for:

  • Developing UV Liquid inks and coatings
  • Conductingvarious tests including analytical, formulation, small batch manufacturing, pigment dispersion, and print
  • Providingtechnical information to customers to help in the design, qualification, and troubleshooting of product development
  • Stayingup-to-date with new market trends and new technological changes in the analytical and chemical industry
  • Customer and project presentations demonstrating your lab results.

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or an equivalent science degree
  • 0-5years of experience formulating inks and coatings
  • Chemist position working with UV and EB Inks and Coatings. Previous ink experience working with UV and EB technology preferred but will train.
  • Excellent math and science, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to follow directions and work independently as well as on a team.
  • The ability to travel both domestically and internationally

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
  • SAP knowledge
  • MiniTab, statistical analysis experience
  • Strongability to interpret color
