POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Senior Pricing/Profit Improvement Analyst reports to the Senior Vice President, Pricing & Business Analytics.
  • Located in Mansfield, MA.
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid

As a Senior Pricing/Profit Improvement Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth through meticulous analysis of category and customer profitability. You will bring expertise in financial analysis, pricing strategies, and project management to enhance overall profitability. This position requires a proactive and strategic approach to contribute to ongoing initiatives, collaborate with sales leadership, and assist in achieving annual incremental EBITDA targets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Profitability Data Development:
    • Lead the ongoing development of profitability data sets, ensuring accuracy and maintaining data quality standards.
    • Create comprehensive fact bases for divisions, identifying trends, opportunities, and hypotheses to optimize profitability.
  • Pricing and Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough pricing analysis, financial assessments, and perform distribution and account deep-dives.
    • Drive category reviews and actively contribute to initiatives aimed at maximizing overall profitability.
  • Sales Leadership Support:
    • Collaborate with divisional sales leadership to track and implement actions identified through profitability initiatives.
    • Take accountability for achieving annual incremental EBITDA targets and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Manage data input and output effectively using business profitability tools.
    • Oversee reporting related to customer profitability and margin targets, providing insightful management reports and presentations.
  • Recommendations and Action Tracking:
    • Provide strategic recommendations and hypotheses on actions to improve profitability based on comprehensive reports.
    • Facilitate and manage the ongoing account review process, ensuring effective action tracking.
  • Data Integrity and Auditing:
    • Conduct regular audits on applications and processes to maintain data integrity.
    • Collaborate with IT liaisons to define data requirements for corporate-wide reporting systems.
  • Ad Hoc Projects:
    • Undertake ad hoc projects, analyses, and data extractions as assigned, showcasing adaptability and analytical prowess.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, pricing strategies, and project management.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with a bias for action.
  • Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of corporate financial data.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in a pricing, financial analysis, or related role, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of business profitability tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and/or Alteryx.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
