Quality Control Supervisor

Overview

Leads the Quality Control team and promotes, develops, and oversees compliance of the company quality system. Ensures compliance of customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards, and procedures and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

    Leads the Quality Control Technician team in conducting quality tests and checks, reporting on, and interpreting results tests, and recommending improvements to address issues
  • Reviews work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to production guidelines and quality and safety standards
  • Provides training to new and existing employees
  • Gives the team written and oral instructions
  • Standardizes procedures to improve efficiency
  • Leads gage calibration processes, procedures
  • Leads containment and quarantine process in manufacturing.
  • Develops and maintains process controls and documentation for QC inspection in manufacturing.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assuranceor quality control
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience or equivalent

Additional Responsibilities
1) Knowledge of 8D methodologies, compliance, ISO standards, and other quality principles
2) Knowledge of safe industrial work practices including Lockout/Tagout and OSHA 10
3) Ability to read and follow mechanical and electrical schematics
4) Knowledge of quality control principles
5) Proficient in the use of measuring gauges, calipers, tape measures, squares, protractors, bore
gages, thread gages, electrical test equipment, and other tools
6) Ability to perform math calculations, including fractions and decimals
7) Ability to read and interpret drawings, spatial orientation, dimensioning, and tolerances
8) Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
9) Excellent management skills for directing, coaching, scheduling, and assisting team members
10)Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced,
results-oriented environment.
11) Strong report-writing skills and computer skills, including MS Office
12) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
13) Good independent judgement and decision-making abilities
14) Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving
