JOB SUMMARY: The Product Owner is an empowered leader, knowledgeable in the business, who is responsible for working with stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop innovative and practical solutions that meet the customer's needs. They develop a Product Roadmap that describes deliverables and strategy, and then execute the roadmap. The Product Owner is responsible for maintaining both the Program and Team backlog for Agile teams, and overseeing and/or conducting the elicitation, organization and documentation of business and solution requirements. They work closely with Product Management, Architecture, Business Owners, subject matter experts, Business Analysts and Agile teams; ensuring that the team develops solutions that meet the customer's real needs.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with Product Management, Operations and Technical Leadership to articulate the vision and high level Roadmap, and garner consensus across all stakeholders.
  2. In collaboration with product management, identify and deliver features, gather feedback from stakeholders that will inform feature development, meet with the development team to convey the product roadmaps, and gather data on product usage
  3. Own and manage the backlog of the development team
  4. Working with other product owners to resolve dependencies and negotiate, coordinate, and align priorities to complete a feature
  5. Work with the Technical Lead/Architect to understand technical work and ensure the roadmap and backlog is planned with technical concerns in mind
  6. Collaborate with customers, clients and prospective users to understand and anticipate their needs.
  7. Work with Agile Program Managers (RTE) and Domain Architects to create a prioritized Product/Program Backlog for all development work related to the Product.
  8. Work with Business Analysts and Agile Teams to break down big Features into User Stories on the Team backlog for the Agile team to design, build, test and deliver.
  9. Attend and actively participate in all relevant Team level Events and act as the content authority to make sure the Agile Team delivers the right solution at the right time.
  10. Attend and actively participate in Program level Agile Events such as PI Planning
  11. Act as a liaison between the Agile Team and the customers/stakeholders, making sure Product progress is highly visible and that the team is working/delivering at a sustainable pace.
  12. Assist the Agile team as needed to complete stories and with troubleshooting problems and developing recommendations/solutions
  13. Establish and govern approach for Product Documentation
  14. Support training development for end users and staff members.
  15. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  16. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  17. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values.

JOB SCOPE: Incumbent works under minimal direction and uses independent judgment to identify issues, trends & problems and recommend action plans and evaluate results on initiatives that may not be clearly defined and are large in scope. Work is varied and complex, requiring the individual to use a broad range of knowledge gained through experience. The position works with internal and external sources to complete objectives, keeping the needs of external and internal customers as a priority when making decisions and taking action.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $115-120K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
