Job Description
Job Title: Head Boys Baseball Coach
Reports to: Athletic Director
Compensation: Stipend Category B; salary based on experience

Overview:
New Trier seeks a candidate that will successfully implement, on behalf of students, the school's institutional and departmental missions. Key components of the position include: supervising, advising, and supporting assistant coaches; training New Trier student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to meet the program goals; implementing IHSA and Central Suburban League policies and regulations; and promoting boys baseball within and outside the school community.

Qualifications:
  • Previous coaching experience at the competitive level preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; possessing good judgment, resolve, and compassion
  • Ability to represent the school in personal encounters and public settings
  • Excellent organizational and self-direction skills
  • Proficient in cultivating a positive environment and team culture
  • Competent in managing individuals/groups
  • Skilled at problem resolution
  • Ability to develop assistant coaches
  • Working knowledge of interscholastic athletic program regulations
  • Licensed Illinois educator or American Sport Education Program (ASEP) Certification
  • CPR/AED and First Aid training preferred
