Compensation: Stipend Category B; salary based on experience
Overview:
New Trier seeks a candidate that will successfully implement, on behalf of students, the school's institutional and departmental missions. Key components of the position include: supervising, advising, and supporting assistant coaches; training New Trier student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to meet the program goals; implementing IHSA and Central Suburban League policies and regulations; and promoting boys baseball within and outside the school community.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience at the competitive level preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Exemplary interpersonal skills; possessing good judgment, resolve, and compassion
- Ability to represent the school in personal encounters and public settings
- Excellent organizational and self-direction skills
- Proficient in cultivating a positive environment and team culture
- Competent in managing individuals/groups
- Skilled at problem resolution
- Ability to develop assistant coaches
- Working knowledge of interscholastic athletic program regulations
- Licensed Illinois educator or American Sport Education Program (ASEP) Certification
- CPR/AED and First Aid training preferred
