What you'll be doing:

  • Manage existing government agencies with a significant emphasis to driving increased sales penetration to new and existing ship-to locations.
  • Tactical management with the ability to execute sales plans for all federal customers in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois (South of I-80).
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and retention through regular customer contact and problem resolution.
  • Meet or exceed sales and net profit goals for government agencies at either the Master and/or Ship-to level.
  • Develop customer relationships through regular customer contact in person and over the phone.
  • Establish new ship to locations within the agencies that you control/
  • Consultative approach to reviewing customer purchases, monitor critical customer metrics and recommend purchase saving opportunities through regular account reviews.
  • Provide training to customers on internet features and functionality.

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven business development ability
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Computer Literacy (including internet)
  • Strong business acumen and problem solving skills

Qualifications :

What's needed- Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years selling experience within Federal agencies
  • 30% travel within assigned territory, plus additional travel as required (annual meetings/conferences)

What's needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience working with customers with a consultative sales approach
  • Experience / exposure to Federal Government and/or Military
