Position: Parking Enforcement Agent

Location: Lively downtown Chicago, IL

Hourly Rate:

Hourly Rate: $16.80/hr + $1.10/hr incentive for a total of $17.90 + $250 Sign On Bonus!! (paid out after 60 days of employment)"

Schedule: We are offering full-time and part-time hours Monday - Sunday from 3pm - 11pm and/or Thursday - Sunday from 6pm - 2am! Weekends are mandatory on rotation.

The Spirit of the Position:

The Parking Enforcement Agent - Parking Regulations provides operational support through upholding and enforcing the parking regulations/restrictions of the local parking ordinances.

Responsibilities: Enforce the local parking ordinances, create and issue parking ticket violations and resolve customer disputes. Our ideal candidate will have great attention to detail when it comes to inputting information into our handheld ticketing devices, will have excellent customer service experience and is comfortable working outside, on foot, in the seasonal elements.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Monitor vehicles in violation of city ordinances by following an assigned route on foot.
  • Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.
  • Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

  • General knowledge of streets and directions is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of outdoor work experience is required.

Skills:

  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle for work is NOT required.
  • Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
  • Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift) - no sitting is allowed.
  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
