About the team

The facilities goal is to provide an effective and safe work environment so that the business units within our space can focus on their production.

What you will be doing

  • Accomplishes the following tasks monthly at all facilities: visually checks all buildings, furniture and equipment making minor repairs as necessary; arranges for contractors to perform repairs with management approval; inspects commodes and faucets repairing as necessary; checks and replaces lights (inside and outside) as needed; ensures inspections required by law for the electrical, mechanical, plumbing building alarm systems are completed.
  • Maintains vendor and contractor relationships; works with vendors and contractors with multiple follow ups to ensure timely and satisfactory repairs.
  • Reviews cost estimates with manager and provides recommendations for vendor selection.
  • Maintains a professional, courteous, respectful manner and provides quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Must be proficient in computer skills and possess the ability to learn and use FIS's equipment and software programs.
  • Be able to identify issues, problem solve, follow up and make recommendations for a solution
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and follow detailed procedures promptly and completely.
  • Knowledge of potential hazards related to the occupation and corresponding safety precautions necessary for performance of job duties.
  • Upholds safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for FIS employees and visitors.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of Johnson Controls Metasys building control systems
  • Experience working in the banking/financial industry
  • Any trade certifications - Electrical Mechanical or Plumbing
  • Knowledge of the Archibus facilities management workorder system
  • Contractor/Vendor management experience
