Position Summary | The Department of Art & Design seeks a graphic design adjunct to teach foundation to advance design courses (e.g., typography, publication design, UI/UX) for fall 2023 at the Rialto Art & Design facility located in downtown Joliet, Illinois. The instructor is hired to teach one or two courses for which he/she/they are qualified to teach. The adjunct instructor reports to the Department Chair. The instructor will provide quality instruction for the assigned courses. The instructor works with full-time faculty in assessing students and following all course guidelines. The courses are taught in-person twice a week during the day or early evening. The position is subject to all terms and provisions of the University of St. Francis adjunct faculty contract. Hours/Shift/Work Schedule | Adjunct faculty is willing to teach in-person, at the Rialto Art & Design facility located in downtown Joliet, Illinois, twice a week during the day or early evening. |
Physical Requirements of Position | Work is performed in classroom settings with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. |
